Surveys
Subdivision surveying consists of a boundary survey on a tract of land with the intention of turning it into a platted subdivision. This would include the sizing and location of lots (set-backs and easements) and streets depending upon City or County zoning ordinances. These surveys are required by developers before seeking approval of City Councils (City) or Commissioners Court (County).
Topographical surveys are surveys that show all the physical features of a tract of land. They can also have contouring shown. When contouring is shown it allows the user to calculate drainage and/or run-off of the site. These surveys are normally used by engineers, architects and managers to plan for areas of future development (mines, schools, churches, existing plant sites, shopping centers, service stations, truck terminals and warehouse facilities, etc).
Engineering surveys are surveys that are requested by engineering companies as a prerequisite to preparing plans for some type of improvement project. This could include property surveys, elevation profiles and topographical survey for new sewer lines, topographic surveys that include contouring for airports, highways, new plant sites of any kind.
Although we are strictly a surveying firm, should you need an engineer for your project, we work closely with several local engineering firms should you need additional services.
